At the top of this blog you’ll find our specially highlighted items with tips, at the bottom all items are listed in a handy Rampage Open Air packing list. Book your bus trip to Rampage Open Air here.
#1 Camp like a pro
You’re a true camper during Rampage Open Air, so make sure you play this role with verve. With a few simple tools (see Rampage Open Air packing list at the bottom of this blog) you’ll feel like you’re in a holiday resort.
1. Luxury chair
You can allow yourself a little luxury at a festival camping. Take a camping chair with you! This way you can relax and get to know your neighbours at the camping. Grab some snacks and a drink and enjoy.
2. Completely exhausted
Of course, you have to dance a lot on the best drum & bass tunes. No wonder if you are completely exhausted at the end of the day. A bit of sleeping comfort is what you need. A sleeping pad provides quite reasonable comfort. It’s light and can’t leak like an air mattress that you also have to inflate.
3. Picnic rug
Your feet are going to have a hard time at Rampage Open Air. Relaxing at your tent can therefore be quite nice. But you don’t want to do this on your clean towels or in your tent when it’s 30 degrees outside. Take a picnic rug with you, so you can lie down and enjoy a drink with your camping neighbours.
4. A good closure
Don’t forget a combination lock for your tent. Thieves are everywhere and even at Rampage Open Air you never know. TIP: Save your code on your mobile so you can’t forget it when you arrive at your tent at night.
You can wear whatever you want to the festival!
#2. Always useful at Rampage Open Air
You can’t escape it either. Your sunscreen, cigarettes and chewing gum, it all has to be carried with you at the festival.
1. The fannypack
A bag in which you keep your essentials. Because besides lipstick and tampons, chewing gum and sunscreen are useful to have with you. Make sure you have a bag that you constantly have an eye on and one that closes well. There’s intensive dancing going on at Rampage Open Air and you don’t want to lose your phone while performing your best moves! A fannypack is super handy and almost 100% pickpocket-proof.
2. Sleep well
Sleep is underrated. A good night’s sleep ensures that you can go for it 100% the next day! Earplugs and an eye mask are indispensable for both the trip and the festival itself. Your biorhythm will certainly be destroyed at Rampage Open Air. During the trip to, and certainly on the way back from the festival, you could use some comfort. Less trouble from ravers who go to the toilet the camping at 5am and on the way back home you can recharge yourself.
3. Cigarettes
It may not be very good for you, but it feels good. If you’re a smoker, make sure you bring enough cigarettes because your brand might not be available at Rampage Open Air. TIP: check the prices of the cigarettes, they might be cheaper in Lommel!
4. Delicious snacks
It’s good to always have something to eat or drink with you. This is not allowed at the festival area, but during the trip in the bus or at the camping it is certainly useful. Think of a bottle of water or a banana to get some energy. Make sure you have eaten and drunk enough before you go dancing!
5. Clothing
You’re going to move around a lot and it’s the middle of summer so you don’t want to think about a lot of clothes, but don’t forget that it can cool down in the evening in Belgium. The weather can also suddenly change from sunny to cloudy. With a nice sweater you make sure you don’t get cold.
6. Money
Cash is always good to have, because you could lose your bank card and you won’t find it back among thousands of ravers. But don’t leave your bank card at home either because many festivals are cashless nowadays. Check this in advance on the website of Rampage Open Air!
#3. Paperwork
You may have travelled for hours and finally arrive at Rampage Open Air, yes! But you’re not there yet. Security is at the entrance and asks for your identification and festival ticket. Where are they? Behind you are people who want to go inside so you feel some social pressure to find everything as soon as possible. Stress.
Not a good start of your festival. Arrange essential paperwork in time and put it on your Rampage Open Air packing list.
1. Bus ticket
Maximal Trips takes care of your bus trip to Rampage Open Air. Make sure you bring your ticket and don’t miss the bus!
2. Festival ticket(s)
Some things are so important that you think you’ll have it with you because you can’t forget your festival tickets, can you? It does happen sometimes, though. TIP: Make a printout of everything. A good backup saves lives, because your phone could run out of battery, or the local internet won’t cooperate, or you just can’t find your tickets anywhere.
3. Passport/ID
This too is such an important document for the trip and to be able to enter the festival itself. TIP: Put your passport in a plastic case to keep it from getting wet at the campsite and during the festival itself.
#4. Be careful
Partying carefree at Rampage Open Air is great, so be prepared. From tweezers to plasters and from after-sun to ibuprofen. Who cares? You!
1. Baby wipes, also for big people
An absolute must for the professional festival-goer. They come in handy in case the showers don’t work anymore or to clean all yourself from beer that has come over you. You can freshen up with baby wipes anytime and anywhere at Rampage Open Air.
2. Disposable washcloths
This is another item you won’t think of until you go to Rampage Open Air for the second time. It helps you a nice hand while showering and you can just throw them away afterwards. So no wet washing cloths in your tent.
3. Disinfectant gel
Clean hands are always nice, so bring disinfectant gel. You never know what the sanitary facilities at a festival look like. Besides, bacteria are everywhere with warm temperatures.
4. Condoms
This will not only make your mother happy, but it will help yourself. You don’t dare ask if your new lover has had unsafe sex sometimes. Bring back beautiful memories from Belgium, no annoying STD’s.
Sleeping togethet is more fun than alone 😉
#5. Recharge
Your favourite gadgets will give you endless fun. If you have these items on your Rampage Open Air packing list, you’ll be popular with your friends!
1. Powerbank
With a power bank you stay connected. Rampage Open Air is huge, so if you’re offline the search for your friends can take hours. A waste of your precious time! TIP: Arrange a powerbank that you can recharge in the sun (even when it’s cloudy). This way, you’re not dependent on charging stations. #independent.
2. Your own pre-party
You’ll find the best drum & bass tunes at Rampage Open Air. But chilling out at your tent with your favourite playlist is also much fun. Whether you secretly want to listen to guilty pleasure hits or want to become the camping-DJ. Host your own Rampage Open Air pre-party with your neighbors!
3. The classic disposable camera
You will dance a lot at Rampage Open Air so you don’t have all day to take pictures. Bring a disposable camera and choose 24 moments of the festival you absolutely want to capture. At home you can process the photos and enjoy the best weekend of the year!
#6. Rave in the best gear
Practical and stylish: that’s what we want at Rampage Open Air. You want to look good but a nice sweater and jogging pants are certainly nice at the camping.
1. Poncho
This should certainly not be missing from your Rampage Open Air packing list. An invention that helped many a dancing festival-goer to prevent wet clothes! If it starts raining or your tent breaks down, at least you still have the opportunity to keep yourself dry. Of course we hope for sunshine and nice weather, but you never know what happens in Lommel…
2. Hats or caps
A cap is not only cool, but also super handy! It protects your face from the sun and your bad-hairday passes everyone by. Put on your hat and sunglasses in the morning and no one will see that you are super hungover!
3. Good shoes
As a real raver you know of course: good shoes make all the difference! Leave your heels at home and bring sneakers with you to Lommel. Just to be on the safe side, bring an extra pair of shoes in case your sneakers get soaked by rain. Your feet also like it when you change shoes sometimes. TIP: Bring flip-flops for the camping and showers.
4. Your skateboard
On Rampage Open Air there are also places where you can skateboard. If want a break from dancing you can enjoy yourself on the half-pipe, super cool!
