# 1. Camping comfortably
The days during Let It Roll you are a real camper, so make sure you take this role seriously. With a few simple things (see Let It Roll checklist at the bottom of this blog) you’ll feel like you’re in a five star resort.
1. A comfortable seat
Your body is going to break down this weekend so take care of it! Your back and legs will thank you when you bring a camping chair. So you can sit in front of your tent and enjoy a drink, while you recover from raving.
2. Sleep tight
At the festival you party hard, but in your tent you prefer to sleep softly. A sleeping mat is therefore indispensable on this Let It Roll checklist. You don’t have to inflate it like an air mattress and it’s easy to take with you. Besides that, such a mat is quite comfortable. So good night’s sleep after a day of raving!
3. Lying in front of your tent
It’s nice to take a break at your tent. Preferably don’t sit in your tent when it’s 30 degrees outside and you don’t want to get your clean towels dirty. So bring a picnic rug, so you can lie in front of your tent with a drink. Invite your neighbors and make it a nice party!
4. Last but not least
Thieves are everywhere and also at Let It Roll you never know. Make sure to get a combination lock for your tent. Real valuable items can be stored in a locker at the festival area.
At the campsite, where you make new friends!
#2. Essential on your Let It Roll checklist
For some items you only realise how important they are when you don’t have them with you. To prevent you from forgetting them, we have put them on the Let It Roll checklist.
1. The fannypack
This bag is perfect for festivals. It’s not as big (and warm) as a backpack and you can keep your stuff safe in it. Nowadays they come in all shapes and sizes, so for both male and female festival-goers there’s a suitable fannypack! Also, such a bag won’t get in the way when you go loose on the best drum & bass tunes at Let It Roll!
2. Sleep in silence
Become a professional beauty queen (or -king). Your biorhythm dies during a week of Let It Roll, but with a good night’s sleep you can limit the damage. Bring earplugs and an eye mask so you won’t be bothered by couples having sex in the tent next to you and you won’t wake up at 8 in the morning from the light of the sun. This way you will wake up well rested and you’ll have the energy to rave all day!
3. Cigarettes
Your parents probably don’t like it when you want to have a cigarette, so don’t take them from home! In the Czech Republic cigarettes are cheaper so while your parents think you are doing well, you just think about your money. Make sure you bring some stock to the festival because your brand might not be available!
4. Energy
Food and drink are your best friends at Let It Roll. As you dance to the beats of your favourite drum & bass artist, you consume a lot of energy and moisture. Make sure this is refilled by staying hydrated and eat regularly. A supply of healthy snacks and water in your tent is always a good idea.
5. Let It Roll outfit
A trip to Let It Roll is your dream holiday in the Czech Republic. It’s the middle of summer and you absolutely mustn’t think about a lot of clothes, but don’t forget that it cools down in the evening. With little sleep you can quickly get cold, especially if you’ve been dancing in the sun all day. With a nice sweater you make sure you don’t get cold.
6. Money
It’s always handy to have some cash with you. If you lose your bank card, at least you still have some money! Because you won’t find your card among thousands of ravers. However, always take your card with you, because nowadays many festivals are cashless. Check this in advance on the website of Let It Roll. TIP: keep your money and your debit card not in the same place, if something happens you will not lose everything at once.
#3. Important documents
Wallet, passport and tickets. The most important stuff for a trip to the Czech Republic, so be sure to put it on your Let It Roll packing list.
1. Bus ticket
Maximal Trips arranges your bus trip to Let It Roll. Make sure you bring your ticket and don’t miss the bus!
2. Festival ticket(s)
You certainly won’t be the first to forget this, even though it’s the most important thing to take with you. TIP: Make a printed copy of everything and keep it in a folder. It can happen that your phone runs out of battery or that you don’t have access to the internet in the Czech Republic. A good plan B saves lives!
3. Passport / ID
Certainly not unimportant: your identification! Indispensable for your trip to the Czech Republic, but also useful for the festival. TIP: Keep your passport in a plastic case to prevent it from getting wet at the festival itself or on your way. There are many more tips for Let It Roll.
#4. Be careful
Little things that make a difference at the camping of Let It Roll! From tweezers to plasters and from after-sun to ibuprofen. Who cares? You!
1. Baby wipes for adults
These wipes are super handy at the camping of Let It Roll. Clean your sticky beer hands, refresh yourself quickly and these wipes are also nice and soft for your skin, awesome!
2. Disposable washcloths
One of those items you only think of when you have missed them at a festival once before, that’s why we put it on the Let It Roll checklist for you. So you will not miss them! It gives you a nice hand while showering and you can just throw them away again, super handy! The best way to clean yourself from waterproof sunscreen and dust.
3. Disinfecting gel
You never know what the toilet facilities at a festival look like and if you can wash your hands. Disinfecting gel is actually always a good idea when you go to a festival. Also on your way to the Czech Republic it is nice to be able to freshen up your hands once in a while.
4. Safety first
This will not only make your mother happy, but above all help yourself: condoms. You don’t dare to ask if your Let It Roll-lover has had unsafe sex before. Take home beautiful memories from the Czech Republic, no annoying STDs.
Let get this party started!
# 5. Gatgets for Let It Roll
Some gatgets may seem unimportant but you’ll be popular with your friends if you have these items on your Let It Roll checklist! Also check out the Festival Shop for gadgets and have them delivered to your doorstep tomorrow.
1. Powerbank
Your own battery runs out from all the raving you will do at Let It Roll, but while you take pictures with your friends your phone will run out of battery too. Bring a powerbank so you can always charge your phone. TIP: Bring a power bank that you can charge in the sun, so you will not dependent on charging stations!
2. Your own music
You hear the best drum & bass tunes from the greatest artists at Let It Roll. But chilling out at your tent with your favourite playlist is so much fun. Whether you secretly want to listen to guilty pleasures or want to become the camping-DJ, it’s all possible. Make it a fun pre-party with your camping neighbours!
3. The classic disposable camera
In the old days, you couldn’t take 15 group photos, just one. Use the disposable camera to select 24 moments during Let It Roll that you absolutely want to capture. You only have one chance at a time. After processing the photos, you’ll have the ultimate re-experience!
#6. The best rave outfit
You’re not going to stand still at Let It Roll. Good shoes and a comfortable outfit will keep you dancing from start to finish!
1. Poncho
The weather in the Czech Republic is not always very predictable so bring a poncho! It fits easily in your bag so it is a small effort to take with you. You will be thankful if you can keep dancing in your poncho in the rain! The stages in tents will be overcrowded because everyone wants to take shelter when it rains.
2. Caps and hats
A cap or hat helps against many complications you may encounter on Let It Roll. It protects you from the sun, rain or bad-hair days. Add a pair of sunglasses and no one will recognize you! This can be useful if you have a hangover in the morning.
3. Dance shoes
It goes without saying that you’re not going to rave in heels. Good shoes are a must at Let It Roll. Bring an extra pair of sneakers in case your other pair is soaked by the rain. TIP: Flip-flops are of course indispensable, if only for the camping or in the showers.
4. Your skateboard
On Let It Roll there are also places where you can skateboard. If you don’t want to dance or bash for a while you can enjoy yourself on the half-pipe!
