The festival area
Tip #1 Preparation
The festival area is huge! You can fill your week at The Island of Freedom by exploring all +60 stages and venues. A walk around the festival could take you an hour, but you won’t be able to: distractions are everywhere! When you look at the aftermovie you will be surprised: “Huh? I didn’t see that at the festival!” The first tip is, therefore, very simple: check the Sziget lineup 2025 before you go to the festival so you know when and where your favourite artists perform, you don’t want to miss them!
The most important preparation is packing! Travel extra relaxed with the Sziget checklist.
Energy at the Mainstage!
Make sure you check your favourite artists at the Mainstage, but go on adventures at other stages as well! You can wander endlessly between all tents and stages. One moment you are jamming with real reggae lovers and five minutes later you meet your new best friend while dancing on the best techno tunes!
#Tip 2 Theme party
Make sure to bring your coolest outfits because there are themed parties at the Mainstage everyday at 19:00. Think of: Colour Party, Balloon Party, Beach Ball Party, Flag Party and Sing Along Party. 50,000 people means 50,000 balloons, which is very impressive: check it out!

Tip #3 Chill at the beach
Go to the Cökxpôn Chill Garden in the morning. This is the beach of Sziget where you can find all kinds of chilling areas with sheets and beanbags: the best place to relax! This area is opened 24/7 so it’s the perfect spot to recover from your hangover after a night of partying. This also a great place to fall in love with your Sziget lover; ever tried hammock sex? But pay attention, the beach might close when the tide is high. So make sure you discover the beach on your first day before it’s too late!

Camping
Tip #4 the best siestas:
Get to know the REAL Sziget at the festival camping. There are different types of campings, like the regular camping, the Hungarian camping and the Italian camping.
There is also the VIP camping. To set up your tent here, you pay €189 extra. It is defnitely worth it for those who love luxury, because this camping has many advantages. You can dive into the private pool, charge your electronic devices, set up your party tent and there is a Wi-Fi tent to update your mom about everything you have done at the festival.

Food and drinks
Tip #5 Goulash!
The food should not be left out in our list with tips for Sziget! You cannot bring your own drinks and food to the festival, but the prices at Sziget are very reasonable! Choose from all kinds of food: French, Mexican, Chinese, Italian, Thai and, of course, Hungarian!
You pay between €4 and €7 for a meal. The options are countless, from fresh fruit for the fit girls among us (also a cure for hangovers) to fat cheeseburgers to fill your stomach before you start drinking. You should definitely try the Hungarian goulash soup when you are at Sziget! Of course, there are also options for vegetarians. The falafel happens to be delicious at Sziget.

Tip #6 Drinks
The drinks at Sziget Festival are cheap! You only pay €3,00 for half a litre of beer. The prices for spirits and cocktails are very reasonable as well. You can get a mixed drink from €6,00. Extra tip: the bartenders at Sziget might give you some extra vodka if you ask them nicely.

- Water: stay hydrated, a heatstroke ruins your great mood!

Tip #7 Supermarkets
There is a supermarket with cheap products at the camping. There are often long queues here so make sure you stock up a lot at the same time (also cigarettes: there are only 2 points of sale at the whole festival area!) There is a pop-up Aldi supermarket since a couple of years: you can go here for food and beverages, but also for useful camping stuff and even tents!
Did you think everything on the festival site was cheap? Then you’re wrong: 500 meters from the festival site is the Auchan, a supermarket that is even cheaper than the Aldi (yes, that’s possible). Get your groceries there and try to smuggle them in. Sometimes the guards are super strict, but they often let you carry your bags inside without even looking at them.
Budapest
Tip #8 Bathhouses
Taking a shower at Sziget during the day could lose you a lot of time since you might need to wait for an hour. We advise you to visit a traditional bathhouse in Budapest! You can find large outdoor pools and thermal baths here: the perfect place to erase all those festival dirtiness and relax.
Extra tip: For about €20,- you can get a Citypass which gives you unlimited use of public transport for 2 days. In addition, you get discounts at various bathhouses!
