Why Nachti Festival? Experts will say: “what kind of question is that?”, but we are really going to answer it in this blog. A well known name in the German festival scene since 1998. The festival is surprising and innovative, but manages to retain its authentic charm every year.
Nachti Festival has grown by staying small, and you can tell. It all started as a party among a few friends. Now, years later, it has grown into a full 3-day festival with about 60 artists on the line-up every year. Why Nachti Festival?
Nachti Festival is small, but nice. At this festival you will absolutely not miss all the rules that Dutch festival life entails. There is a sense of freedom and that is clearly noticeable in the vibe during the festival. Among the 3000 visitors who travel to little Olganitz every year, a good number come from our own little country. A nice mix of German, Dutch and about 30 other countries in the world.
Overall there is always a surprisingly friendly atmosphere. You would think that the loyal German Nachti Festival goers would not entirely agree with the arrival of those noisy Dutch people, but nothing could be further from the truth. All Menschen became Brüder. No matter where you come from, at Nachti Festival everyone is one.

Location
Nachti Festival has been held at the same location for many years: a Bungalow Park in Olganitz, Germany. Olganitz is a village near Leipzig that goes through life completely invisible for the rest of the year. There was never a second of doubt about another location; this is the place where it all started in 1998, and where it will continue to be. Everyone who has been there agrees: you will not experience the vibe you have there anywhere else. The bungalow park is located next to a super chill lake, where you can swim, dance or float around on your favorite inflatable animal all day long. The lake is also the perfect place to philosophize with your new German friends.

Suprising line-up
Founder Steffen Benneman puts together the line-up every year, and with success: it is always perfectly balanced. In addition to a number of acts that return every year, the true Nachti Festival veterans, the festival also gives a stage to new talent. In addition to the Mainstage, which mainly plays Techno, Disco and House, there is also a real Ambient stage. Here you can really relax after all the techno madness. Nice zen. In the late (or early, depending on how you look at it) hours you can always expect the necessary classics. tanzen!
