Forgot to train for the summer, or just not in the mood to carry all of your heavy camping gear? We totally understand. Luckily, Balaton Sound has the option to order all of your camping gear online. Tent, air bed, sleeping bag and pillow… everything is available. There are multiple pages where you can order your gear for a reasonable price on the Balaton Sound website. When arriving at the festival you can pick up your ordered items. How convenient! More space for you to bring important stuff such as inflatable animals, your most shiny glitter outfit and a dino costume.

Sunscreen. Yes, it may sound logical but believe us when we say that you are really going to need this! The brightness of the sun in Zamárdi is really strong and we know for sure that you don’t want to be a tomato for the rest of your holiday. Act smart and embrace your inner ginger; make sure you have the highest factor of sunscreen. Luckily nowadays they sell those in the mini packaging, suits into your fanny pack!

The activities of Balaton Sound cannot be missed in the list of tips. If you are tired of dancing, there are a lot of other things to do. Balaton organizes different kind of activities such as sport competitions of volleyball and football each year. Try it out! This is also an awesome way to make some new festival friends. Besides that, Balaton Sound has a gym, for the real gym fanatics among us.

At Balaton you will see the most beautiful sunsets you have ever seen, guaranteed! After you danced wildly the whole night to your favourite artists, how nice is it to chill at the Balaton lake before you jump in your tent. The best sunset you could wish for

Cash is something you won’t need at Balaton Sound, so do not bring it! Yes, it can be practical for some drinks here and there (priorities), but overall you are not going to need this. Some stories about the Balaton camping say cash was stolen. Of course this is something you want to avoid. At the festival they work with the practical wristband system where you can deposit money on the wristband. Within a few minutes you’ve paid and you never have the risk of losing your money. We fully understand if you want to drink all of the sweet cocktails and beers that Balaton has to offer (especially for those cheap prices, we love you Hungary!), but trust us if we say that water will be your best friend this holiday. The temperature in Zamárdi in combination with your hangover… Hydration is key.

Fireworks: Balaton does it big, really BIG. By now you will have seen some pictures of the past years and probably have seen all of the videos of the firework shows. Never want to miss one of the shows when you are there? Easy! The festival has a set time for the show, every night at 23:00 to be precise. #bethere
