MELT takes place at Ferropolis, an East German peninsula. It is located near Berlin, so you can add a roadtrip to your visit to MELT! The festival is decorated by an old, industrial style. Including giant excavators. At night, the venue is illuminated with lights in all colours of the rainbow, it really takes you to a different world. Another reason why MELT should not be left out in your festival summer!

The industrial decor is not the only thing that makes MELT unique: water is a great addition to the festival area. We are not talking about water to drink, but about a giant lake where the island is located. The Gremmin Lake is surrounded by green trees, which makes the location even more breathtaking. Enjoy the sun while you float on your inflatable flamingo or unicorn, while you cool down. The temperatures at MELT could rise to 30 degrees celsius, so refreshing in the lake is needed!

About 20,000 visitors travel to Ferropolis each year. The audience at MELT can be described as an excentric group of people. MELT is actually an exception in festival terms, since people really make a great effort in wearing the most outspoken festival outfits. Think of glitters, neon colours… Nothing is too much. Even the world famous flower hard bands are still a thing at this festival. The audience is, therefore, another reason why MELT is so special!

There is nothing to complain about the food at MELT Festival. The food may not deserve a Michelin star, but it is definitely good for festival standards. You can eat anything you want: European, Asian, American and a lot of German food. Luckily, there are enough options for vegetarians as well.

Besides food, there is another very important thing to talk about: beer. The beer at MELT is exceptionally cheap. What else do you need? Luckily, the festival is cashless so you do not even notice that you spent over €400 euros by buying drinks for your friends. We look after that later!
